Allerton's Paradises

The photographs in the Allerton Park and Retreat Center gallery are from Allerton’s Paradises, a coffee table book with my photography. The text for this book was written by my wife, Maureen. Robert Allerton (1873-1964), was once featured in a 1906 Chicago Tribune special article as “The Richest Bachelor in Chicago”.  My photos showcase the gardens, statuary, architecture, woodlands, prairie, and farms at the park.  I hope these photos will inspire you to visit the park and appreciate the gardens and magnificent sculpture by world-renowned artists.
